What you tell it
A short form, not a prompt. Most of it is optional, and the parts that are not are the parts a plan cannot be written without.

Country, student age, curriculum and year group, taken from your profile. Change it for one lesson, or save it as your new default.

Turn on mixed age and add the other year groups in the room. Every part of the plan then carries a line for each year.

The subject from a list, and the topic in your own words.

Questions about the Lesson Planner
Do I have to write a prompt?
No. You fill in a form about your class and your lesson. Writing the prompt is our job, and it is the part we keep improving.
Will it cite curriculum references?
Only ones we actually hold for your curriculum and year group, and only if you pick a statement. It will not invent a reference to make a plan look official.
Can I edit the plan?
Yes. Every plan is yours to change, section by section, and each change is kept as a version you can go back to.
Does it need any pupil information?
No. It asks about the class, not about named children. Do not put a pupil’s name or personal details into it.
