About Teach HQ

Fresh CPD for the people who keep schools running

Our mission is to provide CPD that develops the people working in education, unlocks their potential, and through them benefits the learners in front of them. We believe there is always room for improvement — starting with our own courses, which are reviewed and rewritten rather than reprinted.

What we are trying to do

Two goals, plainly stated, and everything we build has to serve one of them.

  1. A learning centre for teaching staff, and the team around them

Teach HQ is built for teachers and teaching assistants first. The statutory subjects reach further — office, site, pastoral and governors carry the same duties, and they are usually the last to be offered any training.

  2. A way for schools to manage CPD across their network

Assigning training is easy. Knowing it was done, by whom, and when it expires is the part that is usually missing.

  3. Free where it should be free

A CPD budget that runs out in February is a safeguarding risk, not an accounting problem. The library costs your staff nothing.

  4. Accessible on purpose

Built to WCAG 2.2 AA, on a phone as well as a desk, because a course nobody can use is not training.

Who uses Teach HQ

From a village primary to a multi-academy trust, and a good deal that is neither.

  • Primary schools and academies

Small staff teams where one person covers three jobs.

  • Secondary schools and academies

Large teams, high turnover, and training that has to reach all of it.

  • Trusts and groups

Central teams who need one picture across many schools.

  • Special schools

Settings where SEND and medical training is the everyday, not the extra.

  • Independent and international schools

UK guidance applied in settings that sit outside the maintained sector.

  • Nurseries and early years

Safeguarding and child protection for the youngest children.

  • Further education

Post-16 settings, including the KCSIE post-16 material.

  • Higher education

Staff development outside the school phase.

  • Vocational and technical education

Training providers working alongside schools and colleges.

  • Adult and continuing education

Adult learning settings with the same safeguarding duties.

  • Parents and carers

Courses that help at home as much as in the classroom.
