Who is it for?
Teaching staff first — and the rest of the school team, because safeguarding and health and safety were never only a classroom job.
-
Teaching staff
Teachers, teaching assistants, cover supervisors and support staff. Free CPD at your own pace, on any device, with every certificate kept in one place.
For teaching staff -
The whole school team
Office, site, pastoral and catering teams, and governors. The statutory subjects are written for everyone who works in the building, because that is who they apply to.

Why schools move their CPD here
| The usual way | With Teach HQ |
|---|---|
| A CPD budget spent before the spring term has started. | The whole course library is free to every member of school staff. |
| Certificates scattered across inboxes and filing cabinets. | Every certificate held against the person who earned it, in one record. |
| No honest answer when somebody asks who has been trained. | A live view of completion by school, department and job role. |
| Planning and paperwork eating the evenings. | AI tools built around the lesson you are actually teaching. |
AI tools, built for the classroom
We are building a library of AI tools for school staff and adding to it every week. This is what is live today and what comes next.
-
Lesson Planner
A full lesson plan from your year group, subject, topic and objective, with timings, activities, adaptation and assessment. Edit it, print it, reuse it.

New tools every week
Worksheets, quizzes, knowledge organisers and report comments are on the way. We publish each tool when it is ready rather than advertising a number.
What we are building -
Safe by design
No pupil data is needed to use the tools, and we set out plainly what the AI sees, what it keeps and what it never touches.
AI safety and data
From the course library
Every course is free, ends in an assessment and issues a certificate when you pass.

ADHD Awareness
A child with ADHD is often labelled disruptive long before anyone considers a neurodevelopmental cause. ADHD affects attention, impulse control and activity levels, and it shows in the structure, function and chemistry of the brain. NICE estimates that two to five per cent of children in the UK…

An Introduction to Food Hygiene and Safety
A school kitchen is a food business in law. The same registration, inspection and standards apply to a canteen, a tuck shop and a food technology classroom as to any restaurant. Get hygiene wrong and the consequences run from food poisoning and allergic reactions to closure and prosecution. The…

An Overview of Understanding Learning Disabilities
A learning disability is a difference in how the brain takes in and uses information. It affects comprehension, speech, literacy and numeracy, and it lasts into adulthood. Public Health England reported that in 2018, 67,765 children in England had an Education, Health and Care Plan naming a…

Anxiety and Depression
A colleague who is struggling rarely announces it. Anxiety and depression are common among staff in education settings, and they show up as fatigue, lost concentration, absence and quiet withdrawal long before anyone uses the words. The cost lands on the individual first, then on the team and the…

Autism Awareness in Children
An autistic child who turns the wrong way on the carpet is not being difficult. Autism affects social communication, interaction, and patterns of behaviour and interest, and it presents differently in every child. The Department for Education records more than 160,000 autistic children in schools…

Awareness of Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)
A child with developmental language disorder may read fluently and still miss most of what is said in a lesson. DLD affects how language is learned, understood and used, across phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics. It affects around seven per cent of children, and it is more…

Questions we are asked
Is Teach HQ really free?
Yes. Every course in the library is free to school staff, and no card is needed.
Who is it for?
Anyone working in a UK education setting: teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, school leaders and trust teams. Nurseries, independent, international, special and further education settings use it too.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. Each course ends in an assessment, and passing it issues a certificate you can download and print. Your record keeps every certificate you have earned here.
How do schools manage their staff training?
A school or trust invites staff by email, assigns the courses that matter for each role, and sees completion by school, department and job role.
Are the AI tools included?
The Lesson Planner is available now and we add tools every week. We list what is live rather than what is planned.
